Those who follow me know I am a very avid scooter rider. At least six days a week, I can be found scooting merrily through the streets of sunny southern California on my Buddy Italia 150.
Riding a scooter is more than having a form of transportation that doesn’t guzzle directly from your wallet. For those who do it, it’s a constant reminder of certain minimalist concepts of happiness in life. Scooting is a constant reminder to enjoy what’s around you, rather than rushing through blindly. Get in touch with the road. Pay attention. Think ahead. Appreciate the weather. Balance. Live a little. Experience “life in the not so fast” lane.
Focus on the journey, and embrace that it truly is the destination.
